His daughter and grandchildren were his absolute pride and joy. Don enjoyed spending weekends with his grandchildren, and gave them unending and unconditional love. As his proudest achievement, he always looked forward to hearing updates and accomplishments of his beloved daughter Casey. They always found time to piece together a puzzle, or try solving mysteries on true crime tv shows. He was born in Plattsburg, New York on January 5th, 1961. He worked for W&W AFCO Steel for 25 years. He was a welder for 22 years and was a steel inspector for 21 years. His career brought him immense gratification and reward. He was an amazing woodworker, and loved collecting diecast cars for Nascar. During his younger years, he spent his time restoring his cars and racing them for fun. He had a deep passion for cars, music, and anything Hawaiian print or eagles. He treated everyone with respect and kindness and he was always willing to help where and when he could. Don is deeply loved and will be surely missed by all who knew and loved him, as he was a wonderful person, father, grandfather, son, brother, teacher, and friend. He is surely soaring with the heavenly eagles, forever protecting his family.
