Janice Marie Alexander was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on February 8, 1954, to Inez (Thompson) and Aaron Andrew Alexander. She was the second child of seven. She is a 1972 graduate of Palo Duro High School in Amarillo, Texas. Janice continued her education at Western Oklahoma State College and graduated in May 1978 after earning her Associate of Science Degree to become a LPN. Thus began her long nursing career. She continued working as a nurse until August 2023.
While attending Palo Duro, Janice met and later married her prince charming, Gary Lynn Sterling; to his union they were blessed with one beautiful, bouncing baby girl, Laticia Renee’ Alexander.
