Rita's Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rita Kay Randell Head, age 65, on November 19, 2024, in Oklahoma City, OK. Born on March 3, 1959, to Virgil and Ethel (Morse) Randell in Oklahoma City. Rita married Timothy Head in 1993 and together they shared many wonderful memories. 

Rita graduated from Bethany High School in 1977 and spent most of her life in the Bethany and Oklahoma City area. She was proud to be a graduate of Oklahoma State University and was a dedicated fan. She worked in the field of advertising for many years before retiring. 

Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, bringing light and love into her life. She was a wonderful friend to many, warm-hearted and loved to laugh. Rita enjoyed camping, fishing, being outdoors and rooting for her alma mater throughout each football season. She was incredibly creative and could often be found immersed in all sorts of craft projects. A talented seamstress, she made her own wedding gown. 

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Randell and Ethel Seher as well as her beloved husband, Tim Head. 

Rita leaves behind her stepdaughter, Jennifer Head and precious grandchildren, Angel, Viviana (Annie) and Noah Cruz. Rita’s family also included her stepmother, Donna Bales; her brother, Don Randell, and his wife, Brenda; nephews Jeremy Randell and Brandon Randell and their families; along with many friends and family members that will miss her dearly. You were loved, you will always be in our hearts, and you are now at peace. 



A Celebration of Life will begin at 1:00 p.m. on December 7, 2024, at Memorial Christian Church, 1915 N. Meridian Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73107.
