Wayne L. Nash, 96, died on Wednesday, August 15, 2024.

Wayne Leroy Nash of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away on August 14, 2024. Wayne was born in Cherokee County Kansas in 1928, the third of four children.  In 1951, he married Patricia Joan Herrmann in Kansas City, Missouri.  They were married 64 years until her death in 2015.  He was active in his Christian faith serving as an elder in the Overland Park Church of Christ in Kansas City, Missouri, and Hartford Avenue Church of Christ in Ponca City, Oklahoma.  In 2002, Wayne and Pat moved to Edmond, Oklahoma and were members of the Britton Road Church of Christ.

Wayne retired from ConocoPhillips after 35 years of employment.  He was a member of the Oklahoma City Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution and a veteran of the Korean War.  He is survived by three sons and their wives, Daryl and Gail Nash of Edmond, Oklahoma, Kevin and Frances Nash of Wichita, Kansas, and Russell and Tara Nash of Austin, Texas, eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.  He is also survived by a sister Delores (Kay) Nash Belknap of Bronson, Kansas.  He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Nash, a grandson, Kyle Nash, a sister Martha Wallace, and a brother Donald Nash.
